Using Rosemary and Mint Oils for wellness 


With fewer hours of daylight our energy and memory can suffer during the winter. With its Mediterranean roots, Rosemary has a long history as a memory aid. In fact the Greek scholars used Rosemary Oil to enhance their memory during exams. Is this just myth or science? We looked to one of our favorite oils experts, Dr. Axe and learned a study by The International Journal of Neuroscience found that "Rosemary produced a significant enhancement of performance for overall quality of memory and secondary memory factors." 

Memory benefits do not stop with Rosemary. Mint is also a great oil for memory benefits and has the added benefit of boosting alertness, according to a study also published by the International Journal of Neuroscience. 

So how do you use rosemary and mint oils to boost your memory and alertness? Diffuse a few drops near your work or stay area. We are fans of this focus balm from Badger. It was a visit to a spa by our founder to get a massage that inspired our New Rosemary and Mint scent. Cold and flu season can peak during the winter and with that comes congestions. During your shower you can add a few sprays of Rosemary and Mint Room and Air spray to get a natural sinus opening benefit. You can also add a few drops of oils like Rosemary, Mint, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus essential oils to a carrier oil like coconut oil for a natural chest rub while you sleep.
